About "Shinka"
"Shinka" was written by the Vocaloid producer Yurry Canon, who has known Ado for some time. According to Ado's label, the song is set in a world covered in lies and illusions, where life and people's will are taken lightly, and yet it is about believing in your own voice and expression anyway. It pairs an emotional melody with a driving, upbeat sound, and it is meant to stand alongside each listener's own "evolution", which is one meaning of the word shinka in Japanese.
In her comment, Ado explained that the song explores the blurring line between reality and games, asking where our true feelings lie and what is real or an illusion. Even in the middle of uncertainty and inner conflict, the message is to believe in yourself and keep moving forward. A short part of the song was first heard in the anime's debut trailer back in July, so fans have been waiting several months for the full version.
The jacket artwork
The newly revealed jacket was illustrated by SKYn, with the logo designed by ZIIEK. It shows a figure in a sleek white winged helmet and striking green eyes, set against a bold red and white background, with the song title in sharp, glitch-style red lettering. The look matches the anime's mix of fantasy armour and digital game worlds.
What is Demons Crest?
Demons Crest is a brand-new story by Reki Kawahara that began as a light novel series from Dengeki Bunko in 2022. It is set in a world of MR, or mixed reality. The hero, Yuma Ashihara, takes part in a test play of Actual Magic, the world's first full-dive VRMMO-RPG, and clears a boss battle with his classmates. The test should have ended when they logged out, but when they return to the real world, monsters that should not exist begin to attack. Ado's English comment refers to the series as Devils' Crest, so you may see both names used.

The key visual shows both sides of the story. The top half shows the four friends enjoying the fantasy world of Actual Magic, while the reflection below hints at the uneasy real world, with Yuma turning as if he has noticed something wrong. Character designs are by Yukiko Horiguchi, and the ending theme is "ReaL" by Soala.

Ahead of the streaming launch, episodes 1 and 2 will be shown at an advance screening event on Sunday 1 November at United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo, starting at 15:00 Japan time. Guests will receive an A4 clear file featuring the key visual.
