Shipping, Return and Cancellation Policy

Shipping Information:

Otaku Daily Ltd now offers worldwide shipping, extending our reach beyond the UK to cater to our international customers. The delivery cost for each order will be displayed on the checkout page.

Shipping within the UK, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey:

  • All orders within the UK are shipped via Royal Mail.
  • Orders over £20.00 qualify for free shipping.
  • For pre-orders, amounts falling under £20.00 will have the shipping cost included from the total bill. (Royal Mail 48 will have no charge, while Royal Mail 24 will still incur a charge if chosen).
  • Shipping fee for order under £20.00 will be £3.00 (Royal Mail 48) or £5.00 (Royal Mail 24)
  • Pre-order and in-stock products can be combined in one shipment. However, it might result in delay of shipping the in stock products. In stock products under £20.00 must be shipped with your pre-order unless a paid shipping option is chosen.
  • Your order will be dispatched within 1-2 business days, excluding weekends. In rare cases, dispatch may take longer, and you will be notified via email.
  • Estimated time of arrival is typically between 2-5 days for Royal Mail 48 and free shipping, and 1-3 days for Royal Mail 24. Please note that these timeframes are provided by Royal Mail.

Incorrect Address & Undeliverable Orders

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and deliverable shipping address. If an order cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will attempt to contact the customer via email for an address update.

  • If the customer does not respond or provide an updated address within 90 days (3 months), the order will be considered abandoned and will be automatically cancelled without refund.
  • If the customer responds within this period and provides a valid address, we will attempt redelivery. Additional shipping fees may apply.

Please double-check your shipping details at checkout to avoid issues.

Missing Parcel:

  • If your parcel goes missing, please note that it is rare. Sometimes, the parcel may have been returned to the sorting office or delivered to a neighbor without a card being left. Royal Mail requires 10 working days (excluding weekends) to pass before declaring a parcel as missing. If this occurs, please contact us, and we will make a claim on your behalf.

International Shipping:

  • Shipping costs for international orders will be displayed at checkout.
  • We cannot deliver to certain locations, including: Spain (Melilla and Ceuta), Netherlands (St Eustatius), American Samoa, Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau, Tahiti, Cote d'Ivoire, Libya, Mayotte, Antarctica, Bouvet Island, Palestinian territories, Syria, Timor-Leste, Yemen, Isle of Man, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands and etc. 
  • If an order is placed for a location we cannot deliver to, a full refund will be processed.
  • We partner with multiple couriers to ensure reliable and efficient international shipping. Depending on your location, your order may be shipped via UPS, DHL, FedEx, or Universal Postal Union. We select the courier that best suits the destination to provide the best delivery experience.
  • Untracked Shipping Disclaimer: In some countries or places, we can only offer untracked shipping. This means once a parcel leaves our facility, we are unable to monitor its journey to your doorstep.

Important Disclaimer for International Untracked Shipping:

  • No Tracked Shipping: We cannot provide updates on the location or estimated arrival time of your parcel after it has been dispatched.
  • Liability for Lost Parcels: Otaku Daily Ltd cannot assume responsibility for parcels lost in transit. Without tracking capabilities, we have no means to locate or retrieve lost shipments.
  • No Returns for Lost Parcels: In cases where a parcel is lost and not returned to us, we are unable to offer a refund or replacement due to the absence of tracking.

Returns:

  • You may return your order to us within 30 days of purchase, provided the item(s) are in resalable condition and unused. Please make sure you want the product before opening the box or removing the tags.
  • Please contact us before returning any items. Please note that postage fees, including fees covered by Otaku Daily for free shipping methods, are non-refundable.
  • Any returns are at your own risk. For your protection, We recommend that you return your items either by courier or by tracked post. You must pay for any return delivery costs, except where the wrong item has been sent to you or the item is defective.

Non-Refundable Deposit and Processing Fee:

  • The 30% deposit for pre-order or back-order items is strictly non-refundable. This applies in all cases, including cancellations or returns, regardless of whether the full payment has been made or not.
  • This deposit covers non-returnable distributor fees, administrative costs, and preparation for order fulfillment.
  • If the final amount has been paid afterward and you wish to return or cancel the item within 30 days, the refund amount will exclude the 30% deposit and will be further reduced by a 10% processing fee. This processing fee accounts for non-returned payment fees, distributor cancellation fees, and administrative costs.

Full Payment Refunds:

  • If you paid the full amount at once and wish to return the items within 30 days, the refund amount will be the total amount paid minus a 10% processing fee. This fee covers non-returned payment fees, distributor cancellation fees, and other associated costs.

Exceptions to the Returns Policy:

  • Video Games (including CDs, DVDs, software): Items cannot be returned if their seal is broken.
  • Gachapon Items: Returns and refunds are not accepted for gachapon items due to the nature of their random and collectible nature.
  • Digital Products: Purchases of digital content are final and not eligible for the 14-day cooling-off period typical for online purchases. You agree that your right to cancel and receive a refund is lost once the download or access to the digital content begins.
  • Ichiban Kuji: Due to the unique nature of Ichiban Kuji, all sales are final, and cancellations or returns are not permitted unless explicitly agreed upon by Otaku Daily Ltd. Customers are advised to carefully review their order and preferences before submitting the Google Form. Any exceptions to this policy will be at the sole discretion of Otaku Daily Ltd.

International Returns:

  • Customers from outside the UK have 14 days to notify us of their intent to return an item. 
  • International customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Returned item(s) must be in resalable condition and unused. Please make sure you want the product before opening the box or removing the tags.

Cancellation:

  • If you place an order using pre-order deposit payment (30%), please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • You have the right to cancel your pre-order or order within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, minus the payment processing fees (1.5% + £0.20).
  • Pre-orders and back-orders are specifically made for you and are placed and paid for by Otaku Daily. If you wish to cancel after the 14-day period, a 10% fee will be deducted from the refund amount. This covers non-returned payment fees, distributor cancellation fees, and the costs of storing and finding another buyer. Orders delayed over 6 months have no cancellation fees.
  • Repeat cancellations of 3 or more will result in an account ban. Please inform us if you are experiencing difficulties with payment as we are here to assist you.
