Ado "Raven Sky": key facts
- Release: digital single, Friday 16 October 2026 (UNIVERSAL MUSIC / Capitol Records).
- Tie-in: theme song of the film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, opening in Japanese cinemas on Friday 23 October 2026.
- Music and arrangement: Grammy-winning composer Masanori Takumi.
- Lyrics: Seann Bowe and Kanata Okajima, mixing English and Japanese.
- Jacket art: illustrator PODO.
A rock anthem about a broken-winged crow
"Raven Sky" is a hard-hitting rock tune that blends English and Japanese lyrics. Its theme feels almost like reincarnation: even when something falls apart, it still connects to the future. The song pictures that idea as a crow with a broken wing and the open sky above it, which is exactly what PODO's dramatic jacket art shows, with flaming red lettering wrapped around a dark, thorny scene.
The film behind it is a big one. Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo is directed by Takashi Miike and made with the US studio NEON. Shun Oguri plays Yabuki, a corrupt Tokyo detective drowning in debt, who teams up with an FBI agent played by Lily James to chase a string of brutal murders in Kabukicho. The film screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and opens in Japan on 23 October, with NEON handling North America.
Ado's Utattemita Album Sono 2: the track list so far
Ado's second cover album is built from fan requests sent in from around the world, covering Vocaloid classics, J-POP and Western rock. The newest reveals include two fan-vote favourites:

- "Mousou Shikkan Girl", the 2014 Vocaloid song by rerulili and Moja.
- "Kuchibashi ni Cherry" by EGO-WRAPPIN' (2002), a song Ado sang as an assignment from her record label before her debut.
