One Piece: Sanji III from the Elbaf arc

The BATTLE RECORD COLLECTION series captures One Piece characters in their most dynamic battle poses, and this third Sanji figure is based on his outfit from the Elbaf arc. He is shown mid-kick, one leg raised high, with a long blue cape flowing behind him and a sword on his back. At about 20 cm tall, he fits nicely alongside other figures in the series.

Kingdom: Hou Ken joins the Grandista line

Grandista is Banpresto's flagship figure brand, known for its large size and highly detailed sculpting. Hou Ken, the self-styled "God of Martial Arts" from Kingdom, makes his first appearance in the line at about 34 cm tall. His huge, curved pole weapon is about 34 cm long on its own, so this figure has a real presence on the shelf. Li Mu, one of Zhao's Three Great Heavens, joined Grandista in September, so collectors can now line up the Zhao generals together.

Naruto: Jiraiya and the Summoning Jutsu

The Toad Sage himself, Jiraiya, is captured mid-Summoning Jutsu, crouched low with one hand on the ground and his huge white hair flying. He is about 15 cm tall and comes with smoke effect parts that you can place however you like. Display him next to the Gamabunta soft vinyl figure II, which arrives in the same month, and you can recreate the classic summoning scene.

Banpresto is also turning the summons into a full set. Tsunade and Katsuyu are planned for November, followed by Orochimaru and Manda in December, so you can build the famous three-way standoff of the Legendary Sannin.

What are prize figures?

In Japan, Banpresto prize figures are mainly made as prizes for crane games in arcades and game centres. That is why they arrive in batches on set dates, and why stock can disappear quickly once a popular wave lands. Their quality has improved a lot over the years, and lines like Grandista and BATTLE RECORD COLLECTION now offer large sizes and detailed sculpts. For UK collectors, pre-ordering is the easiest way to get them without travelling to a Japanese arcade.
