Chiikawa Christmas Market Announced for 24 November–25 December 2026 at Toyosuna Park, Makuhari — Advance Lottery From 15 October

Oct 09,2026 | Otaku Daily Shop UK

Chiikawa is getting its first Christmas Market. On Thursday 8 October 2026, AbemaTV and Spiralcute announced an outdoor festive venue at Toyosuna Park in front of Aeon Mall Makuhari New City, Chiba, running from Tuesday 24 November to Friday 25 December 2026. Expect a giant light-and-projection tree, oversized character balloons, food huts, mini-games and event-only original goods — with date-stamped tickets sold only through an advance lottery that opens on Wednesday 15 October.

Here is what has been confirmed so far, including UK times for the lottery window and how Otaku Daily can help if you are hunting related Chiikawa merch.

Where and when

The market fills about 6,000 m² of Toyosuna Park, right in front of Aeon Mall Makuhari New City in Chiba. Opening hours are 11:00–21:00 Japan time, which is 2:00am–12:00 noon GMT across November and December (the UK clocks go back on 25 October). Last entry is the 18:30–19:00 Japan-time slot, and the lights switch on from about 16:00 Japan time.

Organiser AbemaTV is running the event with special cooperation from Spiralcute, the Chiikawa rights holder.

What is inside the market

Official materials highlight several big set pieces:

  • Symbol tree: about 6 m tall, with a light, video and sound story after dark.
  • Giant balloons: about 3 m Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi balloons in Santa outfits.
  • Photo spots: a giant snow globe and a moving merry-go-round (viewing only — not a ride).
  • Food and drink: 35 kinds of event-original items are planned (names may change).
  • Yoroi-san Market: a custom key-charm bar, plus candy ring-toss and cookie weigh-challenge mini-games.

Limited original goods

Event-only goods are confirmed in outline — Santa-style mascots, plush, snow globes, moving Christmas-card sets and more — but the full line-up is still to be announced. Ticket holders also receive a pop-up Christmas card and one free turn on a giant gashapon for a random ornament (16 designs).

Tickets are date-specified and sold only via Asoview!. No door sales or convenience-store tickets have been announced. We are not quoting ticket prices here.

A soft UK note

Separately from the Makuhari market, Chiikawa's official goods account has also confirmed a Chiikawa pop-up on the fourth floor of Selfridges London from 1 October 2026 (end date still to be announced). That is a venue-only UK touchpoint and is not part of the Christmas Market; we are not claiming any particular stock.
