Chiikawa Face Bottles Return: Parade’s Usagi and Momonga Prize Bottles Land in Japan From Mid-October
Oct 07,2026 | Otaku Daily Shop UK
Chiikawa fans who like to stay hydrated in style have a reason to smile. Prize maker Parade announced on Tuesday 6 October 2026 a second wave of its Chiikawa face-topped water bottles, this time starring Usagi and Momonga, and confirmed that the original Chiikawa and Hachiware bottles are coming back at the same time. Both waves arrive as crane-game prizes in Japan from mid-October.
It is a small, cheerful piece of news on a quiet day, so here is a quick guide to what the bottles look like, how they are distributed and a couple of other new Chiikawa goods landing in Japan this month.

Meet the Face My Bottle 2 line-up: Chiikawa Face My Bottle Vol.2
Parade calls the series "Face My Bottle", and the idea is simple and very Chiikawa: the lid of each clear bottle is a chunky, rounded character head, sitting on a coloured band, while the bottle itself is printed with small doodles of the same character. The second wave, which Parade calls long-awaited, has two designs:
- Usagi: a cream-coloured Usagi head with its tall ears and wide grin, a sunny yellow band and yellow Usagi doodles across the bottle.
- Momonga: a white Momonga head with pale blue ears and a smug little smile, a lilac band and lilac Momonga doodles.

Both bottles are about 22 cm tall and hold 500 ml, which Parade pitches as a generous size for carrying around on days out. Because each lid is a full character head, the bottles look just as good standing on a shelf as they do poking out of a bag.

As always with prize goods, the exact date can vary from arcade to arcade, and not every location will carry every prize.
The first wave is back too: Chiikawa Face My Bottle Vol.1
If you missed the original bottles, this is good timing. Parade's first Face My Bottle wave, featuring Chiikawa and Hachiware, first appeared in April 2025, and Parade has confirmed that both designs are being re-run in October 2026 alongside the new pair.

- Chiikawa: a white Chiikawa head with rosy cheeks on a pink band, with pink Chiikawa doodles on the bottle.
- Hachiware: Hachiware's blue-and-white head with its pointed ears on a pale blue band, with blue Hachiware doodles.
The returning pair are the same size, about 22 cm and 500 ml, so all four characters line up neatly together. Collectors who want the full set of Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi and Momonga will have their best chance this month.

Also new for Chiikawa fans this month
Parade's bottles were not the only Chiikawa news this week. Anime! Anime! rounded up a few more items heading to Japan in the coming weeks:
- 2027 Years mug and plate: from Yamaka Shoten, decorated with Chiikawa and friends travelling across a starry night sky. The stars use pearlescent mica, so their colour shifts gently as you turn the piece. These go on sale in Japan from Friday 16 October through official Chiikawa shops.
- Chiikawa haramaki: cosy belly warmers in Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi designs, rolling out at Japanese mass retailers from early October.
- Haramaki shorts: short-length belly-warmer shorts in the same three designs, following from late November.

What we know, and what we do not
- Confirmed: two new designs (Usagi and Momonga), the return of Chiikawa and Hachiware, the 22 cm and 500 ml size, and a mid-October start.
- Not confirmed: exactly which arcades will stock each design, and how long the prizes will stay in machines.
- Japan only: these are crane-game prizes at Japanese arcades, not shop items.
