Two of Japan's most loved character worlds have joined forces again, and this time the result is impossibly sparkly. The Chiikawa x Sanrio Characters Kiramekko plush mascots dress Chiikawa and friends up as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Kuromi, Hangyodon and Cinnamoroll, and they are open for pre-order at Otaku Daily right now.

What is Kiramekko?

Kiramekko is an accessory plush brand built around one simple idea: big, glittering eyes that catch the light. Each mascot is designed to clip on to a bag, pouch or belt loop so your favourite character can come out with you every day. The Chiikawa x Sanrio Characters series takes that concept and adds a costume twist, with each Chiikawa character snuggled inside a fluffy Sanrio-character suit.

The collaboration first launched as part of a supermarket-themed Chiikawa x Sanrio Characters collection, which explains the playful snack packets, shopping bags and price-tag graphics across the wider range. The Kiramekko mascots quickly became the stars of the line, and fans in Japan can now even find them in a special Chiikawa vending machine at KITTE Nagoya, alongside Kiramekko Teddy Bear, Chiikawa Baby Kiramekko and mofusand Nordic Kittens mascots.
