This week's figure pick brings together two of the best-loved rivals in Uma Musume Pretty Derby and one of anime's most famous guardians. Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen are both getting new Nendoroids, and McQueen also stars in a 1/7 scale figure in her Bring 'Em Home, Please! look. From Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, a new figma Albedo joins the line-up. Here is what each figure offers and when it is due.

Nendoroid Tokai Teio

Tokai Teio is one of the most popular Uma Musume, known for her confidence and her dream of going undefeated like her idol, Symboli Rudolf. Her story of injury and comeback is one of the highlights of the anime. The new Nendoroid Tokai Teio captures her in her white and blue racing outfit with her trademark ponytail, a big smile and a playful, energetic pose. Swappable faces let you switch between her cheeky expressions, so she is easy to pose for a winning moment.

Nendoroid Mejiro McQueen

Mejiro McQueen is the elegant heiress of the Mejiro family and Teio's great rival, as well as one of her closest friends. The Nendoroid Mejiro McQueen shows her in her racing outfit, with her long lilac hair and a calm, graceful look. With both Nendoroids due in the same month, they are clearly designed to stand side by side, recreating the friendly rivalry at the heart of the second season.

Mejiro McQueen (Bring 'Em Home, Please!) Ver. 1/7 scale figure

If you want something larger, the Mejiro McQueen (Bring 'Em Home, Please!) Ver. 1/7 scale figure from Claynel is a real showpiece. McQueen wears a bright cheer-style outfit in blue, white and yellow, raising one arm high as she leaps forward. A clear base keeps the pose light and dynamic, so she looks as if she is caught mid-jump.

The flowing hair, ribbons and skirt give the figure plenty of movement from every angle. It would look great displayed next to the new Nendoroid, showing two very different sides of McQueen.

figma Albedo from Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom

Albedo, the Overseer of the Guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, is one of the most recognisable characters in Overlord. The new figma Albedo is based on her look in Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, with her white dress, horns and large black wings. As a figma, she is fully posable, so you can display her in a calm, graceful stance or a more dramatic pose. Like other figma, she comes with interchangeable hands for extra display options.

Building a Teio and McQueen display

Put the three Uma Musume figures together and you have a fun shelf: the two Nendoroids racing side by side at the front, with the larger 1/7 scale McQueen cheering behind them. Teio and McQueen's rivalry is one of the most loved storylines in the series, so the pair also make a great gift for any Uma Musume fan.

Why pre-order early?

Popular Nendoroids, figma and scale figures are made in numbers based on pre-orders, and they can be hard to find once they are released. Pre-ordering is the best way to secure your copy, especially for popular characters like Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen.
