Ado has picked up another big milestone. Her latest live video, Yodaka, filmed at her first Tokyo Dome concert, has reached number one on three of Oricon's weekly video charts at the same time. It is the first time Ado has achieved a triple video number one, and it makes her only the fifth female solo artist in Oricon history to do so. Here is what happened, what is on the release and how UK fans can get Ado goods.

A first for Ado on the Oricon charts
Oricon announced on 29 October that Yodaka took first place on the weekly DVD chart, the weekly Blu-ray Disc chart and the combined Music DVD/BD chart in its first week. It is Ado's first ever number one on the Blu-ray chart and her third number one on both the DVD chart and the Music DVD/BD chart.
Only four female solo artists had done this before: Namie Amuro, LiSA, Aimyon and Mariya Takeuchi. The last time it happened was almost six years ago, so it is a significant moment for an artist who still performs without showing her face.
What is on Yodaka
Yodaka captures the Tokyo Dome concert from Ado's first dome tour in November 2025, held after her huge world tour. The set includes her debut hit Usseewa along with Odo and Show, plus songs she performed live for the first time on that tour, such as Ai Ai A and MAGIC. Universal Music Japan's release page also lists covers including Sia's Chandelier, and the encore features a balloon of Ado's character Ha-chan topped with her favourite tuna sushi.

Limited and regular editions
The release comes in limited and regular editions on both Blu-ray and DVD, with the same live footage in every version. The limited editions add a clamshell case, a 60-page live photobook, a sparkly postcard and a puffy Ado-chan charm drawn by Ado's image director ORIHARA. The Blu-ray editions also use Dolby Atmos sound to recreate the feeling of being in the dome.

Why Yodaka matters for Ado fans
The Yodaka name, which means nighthawk, has become one of Ado's most recognisable eras, with its own deep blue artwork and merch. The chart success shows how strongly fans in Japan have responded to having the Tokyo Dome show on disc, and it comes in a year when Ado has kept growing her live audience at home and abroad. For collectors outside Japan, the Yodaka visuals are some of the most striking in her catalogue.
A busy year for Ado
The chart win caps another busy stretch for Ado. The Yodaka tour took her to the Tokyo Dome, one of the biggest stages in Japan, and she continues to release new songs and collaborations alongside her live work. Each era brings its own artwork and goods, which is why Ado merch has become so collectable for fans in the UK as well as in Japan.
Her latest surprise is the new single Kanja A (Patient A), released on 24 October with a music video. It was written and produced by Yoeko, arranged by Satoshi Sugawara, and comes with artwork by illustrator Kobone Tomo.
