Chiikawa Chii-Pura Plastic Kits: Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi on Bicycles, Pre-Orders From 3 October

Oct 02,2026 | Otaku Daily Shop UK

Chiikawa is about to get a model-kit range of its own. On 1 October 2026, Chiikawa Market's official account and the maker, Gray Parker Service, announced "Chii-Pura", a new series of easy plastic kits built around memorable scenes from the Chiikawa story. The first set puts Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi on bicycles, and a short, limited pre-order window opens in Japan early on Saturday 3 October, UK time.

This is a Japan announcement, so we want to be clear from the start about what is known and what is not. Below you will find what the three kits are, the key dates converted to UK time, and an honest note on availability.

What is Chii-Pura?

"Chii-Pura" blends "Chiikawa" with "pura", short for plastic, and the series is billed as easy plastic kits that recreate favourite moments from the story. It is a separate product line from the Bandai capsule toys and the regular Chiikawa Market clothing and stationery drops, and it comes from a different company.

The first set recreates the rental-bicycle episode, where the bikes are made of wood and nuts. In the official pictures the bicycles have light wood-coloured frames, big round pink wheels and clear baskets on the front.

The three kits in the first set

  • Chiikawa and Bicycle: Chiikawa looks a little battered, with a scratched face, just as in the story.
  • Hachiware and Bicycle: this one comes with a two-seater (tandem) bicycle, so a second character can sit on the back.
  • Usagi and Bicycle: Usagi in cheerful, wide-open-mouth form.

Why Chiikawa is scratched and Hachiware gets a tandem

The announcement points fans to the official Chiikawa posts about the episode to see why Chiikawa ends up scratched and why Hachiware's bike has room for a passenger. If you have read that chapter, the kits will feel like a little diorama of it. If you have not, they are still a charming trio of characters on wheels.

Key dates in UK time

Japan is eight hours ahead of the UK until the clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, so the times below have been converted for you.

  • Announced: 1 October 2026.
  • Pre-orders open (Japan): Saturday 3 October at 02:00 UK time (BST), which is 10:00 in Japan.
  • Pre-orders close (Japan): Thursday 8 October at 04:00 UK time (BST), which is 12:00 in Japan, or earlier if the limited stock runs out.
  • Shipping in Japan: Chiikawa and Hachiware from late December 2026; Usagi from late January 2027.

Pre-order rules reported so far

According to Dengeki Online and Inside Games, the pre-order is limited in quantity, with up to three of each design per order. Orders cannot be cancelled, and pre-order items cannot be combined with items that are already on sale. Because Usagi ships later than the other two, the official advice is to order it separately. After the pre-order shipments, Gray Parker Service says the kits are due to go on general sale at the official Chiikawa online store and some shops.

First look at a Tokyo hobby show

Gray Parker Service has a booth at the 64th All Japan Model and Hobby Show at Tokyo Big Sight. The trade day was on 2 October, and the public days are Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, with doors opening at about 01:30 UK time. The kits are being shown for the first time, alongside other Chiikawa items and further Chii-Pura designs that are still in development. Visitors to the show who follow the company's account on X also get a free show-exclusive sticker while stocks last. That is a Tokyo, in-person detail, so we mention it for interest only.

What we know, and what we do not

  • Confirmed: the three first-set kits, the pre-order dates, the shipping windows in Japan and the hobby show debut.
  • Not stated: the announcement does not say whether the kits will be sent outside Japan, so we cannot promise any UK availability.
  • Not stated: it also does not tell us the finished size or what extra materials, if any, a builder needs. We would rather say nothing than guess.
  • Still to come: more Chii-Pura designs are said to be in development.
