Fukuya × Hoshimachi Suisei 4th Collab: Mentuna Cans and Mentaiko Chopsticks Sets, Orders Open 5 October

Oct 05,2026 | Otaku Daily Shop UK

Hoshimachi Suisei and Fukuoka’s best-known mentaiko maker are teaming up for a fourth time. Fukuya announced the new collaboration on Tuesday 30 September 2026, and the timely part is today: online orders in Japan opened on Monday 5 October at 02:00 BST (10:00 in Japan). The goods celebrate Suisei’s arena tour, HOSHIMACHI SUISEI ARENA TOUR 2026 “Once Upon a Stellar”, which Fukuya is sponsoring.

So this is an “orders open today” story rather than a brand-new reveal. Below is what is in the line-up, how the key dates look in UK time, and where Otaku Daily stands on these food collab sets.

A collab that started with a favourite snack

This partnership has an unusually wholesome origin. Suisei has long said she loves Fukuya’s “dokkara” mentaiko, the spicy marinated pollock roe that Fukuoka is famous for, and Fukuya turned that fandom into an official collaboration. According to Fukuya, the previous release in February 2026, “Hoshimachi kankan: REBOOT”, sold out quickly at the live venue, with all 2,000 units gone almost immediately.

For round four, Fukuya has dressed two of its best-sellers in tour artwork and newly drawn Suisei illustrations, aimed squarely at Hoshiyomi, as Suisei’s fans are known. Fukuya also says the collaboration is about more than selling goods: it wants fans to feel closer to Fukuoka’s food culture, and its own shops are planning extra in-store ideas around the tour date.

Hoshimachi kankan 2-can set 2026

The headline item is a twin-pack of Mentuna Kankan 〈Premium〉, Fukuya’s mentaiko-flavoured tuna. One can carries the “Once Upon a Stellar” tour logo on a deep navy label; the other shows a chibi Suisei beside the Hoshimachi Suisei crown logo. Both sit in a special sleeve printed with the tour key visual, so the box looks just as good on a shelf as it does in a cupboard.

The cans themselves are worth a closer look. Mentuna Kankan is Japanese albacore tuna soaked in Fukuya’s mentaiko marinade for extra savoury depth and heat, and the Premium version adds roughly 20 per cent mentaiko roe to each can, finished in cottonseed oil. Fukuya says the series has passed 10 million cans sold. Each can holds 90 g, and the set keeps for around three years at room temperature, which makes it the more practical collectable of the two.

Dokkara mentaiko with Suisei chopsticks

The second set pairs 200 g of uncoloured “Aji no Mentaiko Dokkara” with an original chopsticks and chopstick-rest set. The blue chopsticks carry the Hoshimachi Suisei logo, and the round rest features a newly drawn Suisei illustration, so you are left with a keepsake long after the mentaiko is gone. A larger version with 290 g of dokkara and the same chopsticks set is also listed.

Unlike the cans, this one is chilled food with a short life: Fukuya gives about 15 days refrigerated. It is very much an eat-it-soon product, and the chopsticks are the part that will stay on your desk.

The Fukuoka-only package

To coincide with the Fukuoka stop of the tour, Fukuya is also preparing a Fukuoka-limited package of the 2-can set. Its sleeve swaps the dark tour art for a light-blue striped design with chibi Suisei artwork, and the second can shows several playful mini Suisei poses. This version is shop-only: Fukuya states that the Fukuoka package will not be sold by mail order.

Key dates in UK time

Japan is eight hours ahead of the UK until Saturday 24 October, and nine hours ahead once the clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, so the November dates below fall in GMT.

  • Collaboration announced: Tuesday 30 September 2026.
  • Online orders open in Japan: Monday 5 October 2026 at 02:00 BST.
  • Online orders close in Japan: Monday 30 November 2026, or earlier if the planned quantity sells out.
  • Online deliveries in Japan: scheduled from about 10 November to 31 December 2026.
  • Selected Fukuya shops: Tuesday 10 to Monday 16 November 2026, including the Fukuoka-only package.
  • Fukuoka live day: Thursday 12 November 2026, with sales at the Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall A site on the day only.

What we know, and what we do not

  • Confirmed: the fourth Fukuya × Hoshimachi Suisei collaboration, the 2-can set with a tour-art sleeve, the dokkara mentaiko sets with original Suisei chopsticks and rest, a shop-only Fukuoka package, and the order and shop windows above.
  • Limited: every item is quantity-limited and ends once the planned stock is gone, so the 30 November close is a latest date rather than a promise.
  • Not yet shown: close-ups of every label and every piece of artwork beyond the official images released so far.

Otaku Daily and the Fukuya collab

Otaku Daily currently does not open orders for placing these Fukuya × Hoshimachi Suisei items. If you would like us to look into one of the sets, please contact us for a quote and let us know which item you are interested in.

If you are here for Suisei more generally, our Hoshimachi Suisei collection gathers the Suisei goods we do carry, including the hololive friends to Go Hoshimachi Suisei Live “SuperNova: REBOOT” Commemorative Package pre-order. These are separate products and are not part of the Fukuya collaboration. Everything else lives in our hololive collection.

Why this one stands out

Most hololive news is about figures, acrylics and kuji prizes, so a food collaboration makes a refreshing change. It also tells a nice story: a talent who openly loved a regional speciality, a company that listened, and a partnership that has now reached its fourth edition and a tour sponsorship. For fans who follow Suisei’s Fukuoka ties, the Fukuoka-only sleeve on the day of the arena show is the detail that will get people talking.

The packaging is the real collectable here. The navy tour can, the chibi Suisei can and the illustrated chopstick rest are the pieces fans tend to keep and display, while the contents are there to be enjoyed.
