Fans of hololive production have a new fairy tale to look forward to. On 28 September 2026, Bandai Spirits announced Ichiban Kuji Hololive ~Fairy tale Style~, the next instalment in the long-running lottery series, with a nationwide roll-out in Japan set to begin on Saturday 9 January 2027. The first key visual is already circulating, and it is a charming one: an open storybook, red theatre curtains, a sunlit forest, and four familiar faces dressed for a story of their own.

The four talents in the spotlight

The announced line-up is AZKi, Usada Pekora, La+ Darknesss and Kazama Iroha. The key visual places all four together in front of red curtains and a forest backdrop, with a large open book at the centre of the title logo. Small floating icons, such as apples, carrots, playing cards and a top hat, are scattered around the group, which gives the whole picture a lovely picture-book feel.

Based on the artwork alone, the costumes are open to a few gentle comparisons. Please treat these as our own impressions of the artwork rather than official descriptions:

• AZKi: a red hooded cape and a small basket, reminiscent of a classic woodland tale, with a wolf silhouette lurking in the corner of the illustration.
• Usada Pekora: a frilly bonnet, a basket brimming with carrots and a little hot-air balloon icon, which suggests a rabbit-hole adventure.
• La+ Darknesss: a pale-blue apron-style dress trimmed with playing-card suits, with a pocket watch and cards floating nearby, in keeping with a tea-party mood.
• Kazama Iroha: a teal top hat, gold epaulettes and a long staff, with a cheerful wink at the viewer.

Whatever tales the artists had in mind, the mix of red, blue, teal and pink makes for a lively group shot, and the four talents suit their outfits beautifully.

Release date and how the kuji goes on sale

The confirmed on-sale date is Saturday 9 January 2027. As with most Ichiban Kuji releases, sales roll out in stages and start dates can differ from shop to shop, so the first day is best read as the beginning of the launch window rather than a guarantee that every stockist opens at once. Stores that carry the series in Japan, including convenience-store chains such as Lawson, are expected to be among the main outlets.

Fairy tale Style follows a run of themed hololive releases. Villain Style arrived in January 2026 and RPG Style followed in September 2026, each dressing a small group of talents in a new concept. The pattern so far is one fresh theme per release, with four talents front and centre, and Fairy tale Style keeps that formula while moving into a softer, storybook mood. A separate FLOW GLOW kuji is also scheduled for 13 November 2026, so fans have more than one release on the calendar this season.
