Kasane Teto has always loved French bread, and FuRyu is leaning into it in the most delicious way. The new Kasane Teto Baguette Ver. line puts Teto in a cosy bakery outfit with a beret, a red neckerchief and her favourite baguette, drawn by illustrator Nemari. It arrives as a Noodle Stopper figure that perches on the edge of a shelf and as four MOCHIPICO mini plush, each with a different expression.

Why a baguette?

Teto began life in 2008 as a joke character and grew into one of the most loved virtual singers around, first through the UTAU software and later through Synthesizer V. Her trademark drill-shaped red pigtails are famous, and so is her love of French bread, which fans have long joked about as her signature item. This new artwork turns that running gag into a full theme, with Teto dressed like a cheerful bakery assistant surrounded by fresh loaves.

The Noodle Stopper figure

Noodle Stopper figures are designed to sit on the lid of an instant noodle cup to hold it closed while it cooks, but most fans simply perch them on the edge of a shelf, a monitor or a desk. This one shows Teto sitting with her legs tucked to one side, hugging a long baguette to her chest with a bright, open smile. Her outfit is full of fun details, including a soft brown beret, a cream apron dress with a ruffled hem, a big bow at the back and little loafers with frilly socks.

Details from every angle

Turn the figure around and you will see the large dark bow tied at her waist and the drill pigtails tucked under her beret. From the side, the sculpt shows off the folds of her skirt and the way her hands wrap around the baguette, which has neatly sculpted score marks along the crust. FuRyu's official photos place her in a bakery full of bread baskets, and she would look just as good beside a kitchen shelf at home.

MOCHIPICO mini plush A to D

The MOCHIPICO mini plush are soft, round versions of Teto in the same bakery outfit, each about 11 cm tall with a short loop attached to the head so they can hang from a bag. There are four designs, each sold separately. Design A has a happy smile with sparkling eyes, design B has contented closed eyes, design C has a flustered wobbly mouth and design D gives a cheeky wink.

Collect all four expressions

Because each MOCHIPICO has its own face, they are great fun to collect as a set and line up together, or to clip onto different bags so you have a Teto for every mood. Their chunky drills, beret and red neckerchief make them instantly recognisable even at mini size.
