One Piece Luffy Gear 4 Bounce-Man 10th Limited Ver. Portrait.Of.Pirates SA-Maximum Figure: UK Pre-order

Few One Piece moments are as memorable as Luffy bouncing into battle in Gear 4, and Megahouse has turned that image into a large display figure. The Portrait.Of.Pirates SA-Maximum Monkey D. Luffy Gear 4 Bounce-Man 10th Limited Ver. is now listed as a pre-order at Otaku Daily.

This guide covers what the listing tells us about the figure, why it should stand out in a One Piece collection, and how pre-ordering with us works.

Luffy in Gear 4: Bounce-Man

Monkey D. Luffy is the rubber-bodied captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and the hero of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece. Gear 4 is the form in which he inflates his limbs and bounces, and the Bounce-Man look is one of the most recognisable power-ups in the series. It is bold, rounded and instantly readable, which is exactly what makes it such a good subject for a statement figure.

About the Portrait.Of.Pirates SA-Maximum line

The listing describes this as an impressive PVC figure from Megahouse's Portrait.Of.Pirates line, in the SA-Maximum format, and as a special 10th Limited Version. We are working only from the listing here, so we will not guess at what the 10th refers to; the product page is the place to check the exact edition name.

Why collectors will like it

At around 30 cm tall, this is a proper centrepiece rather than a small shelf filler. Gear 4 Bounce-Man has a very different silhouette to Luffy's usual look, so it adds variety next to standard-form figures of the Straw Hats. If you collect Portrait.Of.Pirates pieces, a fresh Luffy in a distinctive form is an easy way to extend the set.

The product gallery on our listing has 23 photographs, so you can look at the figure from many angles before you commit. That is helpful for a larger figure, where you will want to be sure about the pose and the space it needs.

Why Gear 4 makes such a good figure

Many One Piece power-ups are about speed or sharpness. Gear 4 is about size, bounce and sheer cheek, and that gives sculptors a lot to play with. For fans of the Dressrosa arc in particular, a Bounce-Man figure is a way to keep one of the series' most dramatic fights on display.

Planning your shelf

With a height of approximately 30 cm, this is a figure to plan around. Measure your shelf or cabinet before the release date arrives, and allow some breathing room, because Gear 4 Bounce-Man is a chunky, rounded form that tends to look best when it is not crowded by its neighbours.

It is also a fine gift idea for the One Piece fan who already owns the standard-form figures. With the release listed for Within 2027/05, there is plenty of time to decide and to leave room for it.
