Otaku Daily UK Shipping Pause: Visit Us at HYPER JAPAN Festival 2026 and Join Our Japan Proxy Shopping Service

We would like to let our customers know that Otaku Daily UK will temporarily pause shipping between 20 July 2026 and 18 August 2026.

During this period, our online store will remain open and customers can still place orders as normal. However, order dispatch will be paused while we attend HYPER JAPAN Festival 2026 in London and then travel to Japan for a business sourcing trip.

Normal shipping will resume after 18 August 2026.

Thank you for your patience and support while we take Otaku Daily UK to one of the UK’s biggest Japanese culture events and continue working behind the scenes to bring more anime figures, Japanese collectibles and exclusive merchandise to UK collectors.

Otaku Daily UK will be exhibiting at HYPER JAPAN Festival 2026, taking place from 24–26 July 2026 at Olympia London.

HYPER JAPAN is one of the UK’s leading Japanese culture events, bringing together anime, manga, gaming, food, fashion, music, traditional culture and Japanese pop culture under one roof. It is a great place for fans to discover new artists, independent sellers, Japanese brands and collectible merchandise.

We are excited to meet customers in person and bring a selection of anime figures, Japanese collectibles and Otaku Daily UK items to the event.

Japan Business Trip and Supplier Meetings

After HYPER JAPAN Festival, we will be travelling to Japan for a business trip.

During this trip, we will be meeting suppliers, exploring new sourcing opportunities and looking for future products for Otaku Daily UK. Our goal is to improve our product range, source more exciting Japanese collectibles and continue bringing authentic anime merchandise to collectors in the UK.

This Japan trip will also give us the opportunity to look for products that are difficult to obtain through normal UK distribution channels.

During our Japan trip, we will also offer a limited Japan proxy shopping service from:

This service is for selected products that are only available in physical stores in Japan.

Examples include items from:

• Selected anime goods shops

• Selected character goods stores

• Japan-exclusive merchandise locations

How to Request a Proxy Shopping Quote

If you would like us to help source an item from Japan, please contact us by:

Please send us as much information as possible, including:

• Product name

• Character / series name

• Store name, if known

• Product image or official link

• Preferred quantity

• Any size, colour or variation required

• Your delivery country

Once we receive your request, we will review whether the item is suitable for proxy shopping and provide a quote where possible.

Please note that proxy shopping is subject to availability, store stock, purchase limits and travel schedule. We cannot guarantee that every item can be purchased, especially limited, sold-out or lottery-based products.

What Products Are Suitable for Japan Proxy Shopping?

This service is best suited for physical store exclusive items, such as:

Large or fragile items may not always be suitable due to luggage space, shipping cost or risk of damage during transport.

We will review each request individually before confirming whether we can help.

Why We Are Offering This Service

Many Japanese anime goods are not easily available in the UK. Some items are sold only in physical stores in Japan, while others may never become available through UK wholesalers or standard international retailers.

As Otaku Daily UK is already travelling to Japan for supplier meetings and procurement, we want to give our customers a chance to request selected Japan-exclusive items where possible.

This is also part of our long-term plan to bring more exciting, authentic and hard-to-find Japanese collectibles to UK anime fans.
