Oct 07,2026 | Otaku Daily Shop UK
Ado has teamed up with rock royalty. On Monday 5 October 2026, the music video and audio for “SAYONARA (feat. Ado)” went live. It is the title track of TMG’s third album, and it puts Ado’s voice alongside B’z guitarist Tak Matsumoto, Night Ranger’s Jack Blades, Mr. Big’s Eric Martin and former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum.
A quick note on timing: Ado’s involvement and the album itself were first announced on 11 September. What is new this week is that the song and video are finally out, with the album, “TMG III SAYONARA”, following on Wednesday 14 October in Japan. Here is what you need to know.

Who are TMG?
TMG stands for Tak Matsumoto Group, a hard rock supergroup led by Tak Matsumoto, the guitarist of B’z. The line-up reads like a rock fan’s dream team:
- Tak Matsumoto: guitar (B’z).
- Jack Blades: bass and vocals (Night Ranger).
- Eric Martin: vocals (Mr. Big).
- Matt Sorum: drums (formerly of Guns N’ Roses).
The group first got together in 2004, returned in 2024 after 20 years, and regrouped once more in 2026. Their nationwide Japan tour, TMG LIVE 2026 “SAYONARA”, opened at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo on 5 October, the same day the MV dropped.
Why Ado?
The link goes back to 2023, when Tak Matsumoto composed Ado’s song “DIGNITY”. The two have shared stages since then, and Ado joined “SAYONARA” as featured vocalist at Matsumoto’s invitation.
In her comment on the release, Ado said the track overflows with rock energy from its very first moments, with a passionate melody and a burst of power at its heart. She added that she recorded it with the same passion for simply enjoying music that started it all, and that she hopes lots of people will listen.
The song also has a mainstream TV slot in Japan: B’z’s official site lists “SAYONARA (feat. Ado)” as the October ending theme for the TBS show “Hiruobi”.
The album: TMG III SAYONARA
“TMG III SAYONARA” is released in Japan on Wednesday 14 October 2026. Every edition has the same six tracks:
- Track 1: SAYONARA (feat. Ado)
- Track 2: I CAN’T STAND SLEEPING ALONE
- Track 3: I DON’T SEE ME IN YOUR EYES
- Track 4: LAST CHANCE (COME ON COME ON)
- Track 5: WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS, a cover of The Beatles classic
- Track 6: DOOM, an instrumental written as the theme for the film “Yatsuhaka-mura”

Four editions, four jackets
The release comes in four versions, each with its own jacket artwork built around the red peony TMG crest. Collectors will want to note the extras:
- Quantity-limited edition: CD plus a TMG logo beanie, in an original box of about 25.9 × 25.7 cm.
- First-press limited edition: CD plus Blu-ray with about 89 minutes of live footage, TMG LIVE 2024 -Still Dodging The Bullet- at Zepp Haneda (TOKYO), covering 17 songs.
- Regular edition: CD only.
- B’z PARTY fan-club edition: CD plus a TMG acrylic stand, available only to official B’z fan-club members.

The artwork leans heavily into traditional Japanese imagery. The first-press edition shows a blue paper umbrella painted with a dragon, while the fan-club edition places the crest on a pale floral textile.

The extras: beanie and acrylic stand
The quantity-limited edition’s beanie is black with the TMG logo knitted in grey down one side, which makes it an easy piece of band merch to actually wear. The fan-club acrylic stand features cartoon versions of all four members on a single base, complete with drum kit and guitars.
